History

The Hall is available for hire by individuals and by organisations both within and outside the village.

What's On

The land on which the hall stands was previously used by Broom’s Women’s Institute where meetings took place in a timber building.

  • In 1999 the WI decided that the land should be used for the benefit of the village. The new Broom Village Hall trustees took over in January 2003, renamed the hall, and set about raising funds for a new modern brick building.
  • Building work commenced in January 2006 and was completed later that year. The new hall was officially opened at a village fete in September 2006.
  • The new building was made possible by various grants, as well as donations from villagers and other parties. We are grateful to everybody whose time and effort helped to create this wonderful facility.

BVH logo resulted from a competition held as part of a day of celebrations held at the old hall in August 2003. Our thanks to all involved in producing this, and in particular to Rachel Harris for the winning design.

Building work commenced in January 2006 and was completed later that year. The new hall was officially opened at a village fete in September 2006.
